The San Francisco/East Bay semi-adventure:
Last night I went to my first SG event. Usually I'm extremely lazy but two things really enticed me. One, to finally join the San Francisco regional group (which by the way is awesome and makes me wish I lived in San Francisco), and two, to finally meet emilyrocks who has been on my friends list like forever.
I drove into town and decided to look up my friend Tessa who lives in SF and beg her for a place to crash if it came to that. I looked for parking for half an hour. We hung out in her apartment where her roommate was melting records in the oven, so we decided to go get food and we ate Burritos at a relatively cheap place which was pretty good. The we headed over to Thee Parkside.
Thee Parkside (for those not in the know) is a neat little bar seemingly in the middle of nowhere. I got to meet lil_tuffy and Subrosa who were both extremely cool. I drank a White Russian and two Jack and Cokes + my lemon lime Jarritos from the Mexican place.emilyrocks showed up right before we were about to leave and we did a little defacing of Valentines. There was this strange dude that was creeping my friend out so we left a bit early but not before taking a picture.
She drove me home (which I always hate and hate even more when I feel like they're not driving too well) and we hung out at her place a bit. When Tessa was trying to parallel park, there was a homeless lady that was laughing at us cause it took so long. Then I got in touch with emilyrocks who had left Parkside and was headed towards the East Bay and wanted to see if I wanted to hang out at her friend Daniel's for a bit. I said yeah and left Tessa's, but before I got into the car, the same lady asked me for some change. All I had was a 10 on me and decided I didn't want to give her ten, but went to a nearby pizza place and ordered garlic bread to break it and gave her like half of my bread and a few bucks. We talked for a bit and she asked my why I didn't have a girlfriend. Older ladies always ask me that.
Well I got into the car and started listening to Patsy Cline and was feeling great as I crossed the Bay Bridge. I met up with emilyrocks in Oakland I ended up watching the last 2/3 of Pulp Fiction and we began to look for a Denny's. We ended up getting semi-lost and backtracking and eventually we decided to drive down Telegraph Ave. and we decided on a Jack-In-The-Box. The guy at the drive thru was very entertaining and danced around and used a lot of the izzle speak. The drive-thru was supposed to be theft proof and had a bunch of plastic.
Here's the guy who took our order.
emilyrocks's lap which became like my own personal table.
emilyrocks eating.
We ended up going back to Daniel's and driving back home and I got home around 5AM. When I got into my room I noticed a Valentine's Day present.
The end.
Official music of my trip:
Jason Moran - Same Mother
John Legend - "Ordinary People"
Patsy Cline - "Walkin' After Midnight"
The Roots - The Tipping Point
PS Reagan's new set was worth staying up all night for.

I made one of those obnoxious quiz thingies! This should be easy for some of you...anybody who's been reading my journal. Oh, and I threw you guys a bone.

Don't worry if you do bad, but if you get the last one wrong, I don't know you.
