Some days you are at work and it has only been an hour or so, but you can't help but think, "I can't wait for today to be over". But even when you endure a day like that, you often still have at least a half an hour commute to sit through and doze off during and hit patches of traffic.
But today when I drove home, a mile or so before I hit the freeway, I noticed a young asian kid in the car to the left of me staring at me in the backseat. He made a face. I made a face. He made another face. I made another face. Then he smiled and waved. Few things in life make me happier than that I think.
Of course then I started wondering about what that kid would grow up to be and if he would keep that playful, friendly, curious streak. I then thought up ideas for my next (or first depending on how you look at it) comic book epic followed by a strange thought, all the while listening to nearly the whole Green Onions album by Booker T & The M.G.s. Work may have sucked, but the drive home wasn't half bad.
All my peoples out there who have fallen on hard times, this one is for you. Please know that I have you in my thoughts and my heart and that I hope you know that after this rough patch, great experiences lie ahead.
Oh, the thought?
I thought, how different would our every day lives be if traffic lights didn't display green for go, but blue? How cool would that be?

I try not to waste peoples' time unless it's worth it.
