today i worked my ass off for 9 hours! finally! sitting in a school chair gets old and I think I need to work my ass off, physically. It feels good.
I helped my pops do some maintenance on his new house in the foothills. What a character my dad is: so smart, yet such a believer in the status quo, capitalistic way our nation seems to be operating. love him though, he rocks.
I crawled under the house in dirt through really tight spaces amongst spiders and rat carcass (sorry RG and YB, it was sad). then I dug a drainage trench to draw standing water away from the foundation (this is good if you want your house to last longer btw). Then I crawled in the attic to repair a few ducts, cap a junction box, and .... masturbate...oh wait, no....um i don't remember what else i did in the attic. finally, I replaced the shower-head arms and showerheads.
usually i feel resenment towards my dad when he asks for my assistance. this feeling, i recognize, goes back to my childhood, but i can't remember any specific event associated with it. This time, I felt no resenment at all. I thouroughly enjoyed everything...just for the sake of hangin out with dad and doin constructive stuff. thanks dad, i love you.
(i didn't enjoy the carcass too much, though, but that's ok)
