Over the past few days our President failed to mention the status of our economy for around an hour. Glad I wasn't reminded of it. There are, however, several media persona's freaking out about this. Saying that Mr. Obama doesn't care.
I'm sorry, running a country is one thing and it's a HUGE thing. There is a large list of more important things to do prior to worrying about the U.S. economy. If the average person thinks the president is the guy who's going to make that change where we can waste money on a vast collection of Pez dispensers once again, I may be wrong. Who couldn't have seen this fiasco start six years ago? Didn't we begin to talk about an impending recession then? And what did the vast majority of people do when that was all over the news, they went shopping, ignoring the fact that many of our relatives and loved ones were overseas. They bought cell phones for $300 and don't realize a minor problem that they can't change it's batteries. And everyone almost ignored the fact that overnight, virtually every bank changed their NSF fee's from $8-15 to $25-35. Mine used to be eight dollars, not it's thirty-five. So I changed banks.
This upsets me as much as Trent Reznor complaining about Chris Cornell's recent album when Trent himself hasn't done anything new the past thirteen years. You bitch to the big people because your lp's cost so much money. You make things your way and what do we have, the same price if not more than what it used to be. Trent, you've pulled the wool over the eyes of many, you're on the bandwagon but you're hiding in the trunk so the people who were behind you on this message didn't realize you were just taking advantage of them.
No one can figure out why music is dying, here is a heads up: Look up to the sky, look around you, see anything different? No. You killed music. Go to the grocery store and buy a big pack of Hi-C, drink it all and listen to a random station on Last.FM, turn on the radio even.
Take candy from strangers, split it in two and make them eat it first. Cautious and charitable, smile at this post.
