saw the producers with fatespawn and his family this past weekend - "springtime for hitler" is still quite stuck in my head, and it's weird to have it be a part of my mental soundtrack at work.
dreamed this past night of visiting home and seeing xie, and things here and there about the house kept randomly lighting on fire, so we were both really tense. like, i'd open a drawer in the buffet and the contents of the drawer would burst into flames and i'd start trying to beat it out, and then xie would come by and it'd be kind of like "gah, what are you looking at?" so we got in a huge fight and our dad mediated, much more effectively than i think he'd be able to do nowadays in real life. and when i woke up at first i was really sad, cause i'd been fighting with xie, but then i brightened up a bit because i'd gotten to see her in my dream and even saw dad being all logical and capable again, and anyway in the dream we were both mostly just stressed and not actually angry at each other. still, it's annoying to have dreams that practically beat you about the head with their overly obvious symbolism.
randomly happened across this in another journal -
Entire basis for best pick up line ever:
"Excuse me miss...does this rag smell like chloroform to you?"
cause really, its an odd quirk of human nature to smell stuff when someone goes "EWWWW....here...YOU smell it."
heh...
you know, even when i was much smaller i always wondered why there was a song to teach us how to deal with drunken sailors (and given my lovely uber-propagandaist drug ed program, the fact that the sailor was drunk scared me, as it meant he was soon going to DIE). i was a very impressionable youth.
