Which is, actually, kind of a imperialist attitude towards India, a place that doesn't need that kind of derogatory treatment from a bunch of white folks.

I suppose so, but the plan to visit Mom only comes out about halfway through. They start off agreeing to a "spiritual quest" to become brothers "the way they used to be." So I guess the setting is incidental, but they've also chosen it for "spiritual" qualities (or one of them has, anyway), so it's still weird like that.

Ugh. I know. I can't figure out how I'm going to afford UArts.. but it's the only school I was even close to interested in. And they apparently WAY over accepted the fall semester... hence, why I'm stuck in this goddamn town until January.

And yeah, I'll figure it out freshman year. Hopefully if I end up wanting to transfer, it'll be in Philly.. because I'm absolutely IN LOVE with that city. But I plan on working with jewelry and metal.. so if you have any info on that, do share!

i cooked too much pasta and one wouldn't cover it. I think also I liked the combo of chicken and mushrooms.

I bought a pack of mystery veggies... because it was colorful... I used it to make pasta salad. It tasted fine at first, but it left this nasty gym sock aftertase in my mouth. I made enough of it to last me a week and ended up dumping it.

I would have been better off with salad dressing.

Lies. When I left the LES years ago (pre-gentrification), we took on JC which is sort of the same amount if not less but the amount of space you get is incredible. They've done a fine job of gentrifying JC since then as well. I go almost every weekend & it's like little NY outside NY. You have the shuttle PATH which is only $1.50 to get back to NYC in less than 15 minutes. If I go anywhere next, it's back there. It's beautiful and no you don't need a car. It's like being in the city.
