im tired, im hungry and im a little sweaty.
Things to remember for projects:
1: Be responsible for the projection of the film from the beginning of the project or not at all. none of this middling shit.
2: Are you not sure you know how to do something? then for god sakes, assume you dont, and make frequent technical tests at various stages of the project.
3: Make sure you insist to see the output device yourself in advance and know that it performs as desired.
I have some animation in the local 'fringe festival'. not a lot, about 5 minutes of simple flash animation. last night was spent deciding i couldnt figure out how to burn to dvd, and today was spent working/getting an ok copy of the piece onto dv.
i knew it would be like this; it always is. unless you have a running production up that makes episodes, each project is unto its own and will have unexpected snags.
next week i go to ottowa for the ottowa international animation festival! i wish to firebomb my house in the mean time. lack of time though. attempt. im glad to put down the art for a week to pick up the cleaning brush. my house needs it, and i wouldnt mind a change. and then YAY animation nerds together for a whole week!
