i shot myself in the knuckle with a brad gun today. OUCH. those Senco's, man... they sure pack a punch.
anyways, i was making a shelving unit to store prints and paper and plates, and i'm just using the gun to pump brads in for the frames for the shelves, and one piece i guess had a major hard grain or something that just happened to be in the end, because i couldn't see a knot or anything, but it looked like it was cut from near the heart wood, and whatever the case was, the brad just goes, "PSHFFT!" and curves up, right into my first knuckle on my first finger on my left hand, BANG! right into the bone. the force was nuts, and it knocked my hand away, and i just bled out of this tiny little hole all over the patio and into the garage and through the studio right up until the bathroom back there. it was amazing. and now it doesn't hurt or anything, so i doubt there's a fracture, but it was just amazing how it bled. i have never seen anything like it in my life.
it was actually kind of funny, but painful. anyways, i got the shelves done. and now i'm just dead tired from putting shit together today.
