Well it has been a couple of weeks since the last post, so I should probably update all you viewers out there whats going on. We are in the middle of some field exercise right now even though we aren't technically in the field. Its pretty much a validation of our jobs. And lucky me gets to work the night shift... that's right 8pm to 8am every night during the week. Go me! *Sigh* At least I'm in charge... but that is a good and bad thing. When shit goes wrong you get blamed for it but you do get to boss people around.
So my 26th birthday is in a week *the 12th for those of you running to your calendars.* More than likely I will be working for this stupid exercise the whole weekend which means no celebrating for this guy. We are done with it the 17th which means I can fully enjoy myself afterward. This is the second birthday in a row that I will not be home to enjoy. I mean 26 isn't special or anything but still it would be nice to go to my favorite bar with some friends and kick back. I so wish I could take leave to do so, but the earliest I could probably do so is April and by then it isn't worth it. If I save the time up I could leave July 1st to go home for three weeks before going to my next duty station... wherever the hell that ends up being. My top picks right now are Ft. Lewis, Washington and Ft. Riley Kansas. They both have their own pros and cons but I am not sure yet. I could try to get the National Guard post in my home state but it is pretty hard to do. Who knows if they need a smart Signal soldier like me..
At least I know I won't get deployed for at least six months. Thank God for stabilization. My back still hurts slightly, but the hole is almost filled in. There are new nerves forming which is making it extremely irritable. My knee has been hurting a lot though, which means that I need to kick some Korean ass and get this MRI taken care of sometime around the new year. Surgery is a high possibility, but who knows.
And now to end this blog some photos!

It wouldn't be one of my blogs if I didn't post some music...

Happy birthday. Although you aren't getting a birthday celebration I'm sure you'll get a big party to celebrate when you get to return home.
Happy birthday early
