So, after reading ironstein's recent post and summing up my own experiences, I've got to ask the world: have online personals actually worked for anyone personally or someone they've truly met? I keep reading these fantastic stories, but have yet to see myself or anyone around me brought into the blossom of long-term romance via such a thing.
This latest being-hooked-up-by-mutual-friend thing has gone well, thus far. And as far as friends hook-up goes, I'm 1 for 3 (not including my current crush), so already: better odds than the dot-com varieties have offered.
