next comlaint about school.
So im in school for Digital Photography.
I have a new Digital SLR camera, (nikon D90) and their is new software out in the market (adobe photoshop CS4) as we all know.
Now i was a bit upset that the school was teaching CS3 still. but w/e not gonna complain.
so the school is stocked full of nice iMacs with CS3 in them. with camera RAW update 4.5. but
the D90 uses camera Raw update 4.6.... Now this is where i complain.
Since the school's computers are all on a server base or somethin, i can't update an individual computer cus i need an administrative password for any updates. (mac people know what im talkin about when it comes to installing new software)
but ya so i need this update to do my HOMEWORK. and the information tech (IT) guy just told me im "im out of luck" and have to work with what i have.
so i cant work with RAW files at school...?? only on my home computer. which is at home.. duh
so now im sittin in the library on this sexy new mac, my sexy camera, and cant do shit but play with basic jpeg's
im a victim of technological oppression.

i heard rumors though that if i am a good schemer i might be able to get a "special needs" grant from the government, and maybe it will buy me a new laptop lol. not gonna bank my money on that though.
this school advertises that they use the "latest technology" in their programs, but if im a FIRST year student and they cant keep up with me, they should meet their part of the agreement i paid for.

first assignment, had to take 1gb of pictures in the bathroom haha. so here are some

I got the d90 today!!! i'm still getting my head around it all even though its similar layout to my d40x its soo different at the same time!! I've never worked with raw files before how does it work? Do i just shoot it and edit them on cs3 then save them as jpeg?? i've read so much and tried it but couldn't work it out!
