I got one of the shibari shots prepped and put online (I needed a foot photo, so it got prioritized)... Perhaps maybe I will get more from this set prepped tonight! Oh, you can see a tiny, medium-compression version in My Pics.

Hey you! You still around? smile

That's a shame. I understand though.

Oh well, I'll miss you and your journals. frown

A coworker's roommate approached me because she wanted nude modeling portfolio shots, so I agreed to do it TFP... if she would do shibari. And she very happily said yes!
Long red hair cascading over a pale body captured in red and black ropes (we put her in a full body tortoise shell harness)... I'll post a few pictures some day (just as soon as...

Things have been crazy. I left last November, for depression and thesis stress reasons. And since then I've just been figuring everything out, I guess. I travelled a bit, sat in my room doing nothing a lot, and then I finally came to a sort of breaking point, got a pretty decent job, and have somehow managed to find a lot of happiness. I'm not really sure how it all happened, but I'm enjoying it. I'll probably go back and finish at school next fall, I'm thinking.

How about yourself? You'd be a senior this year, yes? Is it making you insane yet?

thanks for posting the comment. i never really got good answers from SG on their policies. i did get some snide remarks from SG members so fiercely loyal they can't think straight or see the problems with these policies (or lack of them).

a perfect example of SG's unprofessionalism and disrespect for photographers: i submitted two sets this summer and never even received official replies regarding their status. a lot of exploitation going on. photos should be licensed for the rate they are offering. i'm quitting at the end of my current membership term and probably won't submit future sets unless it's a favor to a model. the ideal that being a published photographer on SG is beneficial to a photographer's career is pretty ridiculous. it's just a tear sheet and among the lowest paying around. there are some great sets on SG, but the majority are low to medium quality which is a perfect reflection of the treatment of photographers. if SG wants consistently stellar images, they have to pay a professional rate with proper licensing.

best of luck.

The set I shot of Scylla is accepted, but not yet queued (?).
I got my first tattoo, photo pending, I swear.
My thesis (undergrad) year started... with a bang.

I signate fetish club too. Whew.

Well, the way I see it, when you're that busy you have no time to whack you toe! wink

Yay for first tattoo! My first should be coming by the end of September (when I can get to Montreal). Can't wait to see the pictures. smile
muse:

Not a bad weekend - got to spend all day with Scylla, then a hilariously bad date (we'll ignore that part), and then my evening went way back up with a visit to the land of awesome beautiful girls "IRL." And Sunday was a heaven of lying around, photoediting, and getting very chemically relaxed.

Watched 12 Monkeys for the first time in years last...

I threw a work party last night. Given that I work with computer geeks, I feared that it would be... slow. But margaritas to the rescue! A friend took over the blender and wiped out the crowd with tequila, triple sec, and rasberry sorbet. Mm, mm good. A few of us ended the night at the park, staring at the stars and looking for meteorites...

Tequila can fix ANYTHING!

Glad to hear your party was a success! And I'm sure that your drunk eyes saw what was essential. OK you missed the meteor shower but you didn't step on a skunk or fall down a manhole, did you?

If you can answer no to those two questions, I'd say your eyesight was fine (maybe not for surgery but...) wink

Yay, my profile is finally functional! I just can't update from my own computer. frown Damn incompatible Tigers!

It's amazing how many problems in my life can be traced to incompatible tigers! frown

Glad to hear you got everything straightened out with your account. That's odd it works on another computer and not yours. Strange indeed.smile

That'll be our little secret (considering I'm checking SG at work too wink )

That's the problem with SG. It's like some evil sort of drug! I can't seem to stay away, even when I'm at work! smile

I officially deem you my sneaking SG into work time buddy! smile
