Hmm was it an omen, a sign of my subconscious for change. I seem to be at my best in struggle and not having a car is definately a struggle in a town as progressive and at the same time as assbackwards as this one. I got out my bike and tuned it up and got to work in pretty good time and ran some errands, so I can get around and such. It's a bit messy what with snow and ice and mud all over the streets but it sure is fun to ride in. Nothing like riding your bike through a puddle that comes up to your calves, the spray alone and the childlike joy of gettiing dirty is worth doing the extra laundry.
I am finding myself hoping that I wrote my car off in the crash; it doesn't look bad but I mean hoping that some flaw in the chassis or body damage is there, so that my insurance company will say screw it. That would mean that my car would be payed off and a bit left over for me, and I'm thinking not having to make payments on the car or insurance would be ok by me. I also feel better after 2 days of biking than I have for most of the year so maybe the cosmos just gave me a really loud wakeup call. The aches and such I was feeling left with some really hard hill climbing to return later of course but after a bath or shower they don't come back which I kinda like.
Playing tag with my insurance company is fun too if you don't take it all to seriously, putting happy faces in the dirt on peoples cars as you're stopped at lights helps as well.
Gentle lunacy does come in handy sometimes.
Kisses and hugs and big rasberrytummy rumblers to one and all.

other neat thing about your car being totalled is it's REAL good for your credit - it all gets paid off at once and all. pain to have to bike, kind of, or take the bus, but it's nice to have insurance pay for things.
