Beyond
the Golden Gate Bridge
a light went out
in San Francisco.
A voice
has stopped
resounding in the streets,
and singing
the stories
of the children of ecstasy
and freedom.
A pen
stopped writing
the thousand faces
of man,
leaving only
silence.
