Revolutions per minute
So I picked up this album today along with the new Non Prophets:Hope (this is joe beats and Sage francis) & the new Aes Rizzle de dizzle: Bazooka Tooth. Revolutions per minute is good all the way through. Fast upbeat, good vocals; I guess they're harcore punk. I don't really know about all those genres yet so I don't know really what sounds put some apart from the others. But "Heaven Knows" is my frickin jam. Damn its gooooood. Of coarse Sage and Aesop put down the crafty unusual lyricism they're known for on their albums but the beats are kinda lacking and a lot of the tracks. "limelighters" is a dope one of a Bazooka.
So I've never been to a punk/harcore/rock show before but I'm thinkin about chekin out the Vagrant Tour show when it hits Hollywood. I mean come on Alkaline Trio and FATA in one show has to be good. I don't know who Im gonna roll with though; maybe this girl I know up the road. I'm not down to go to something like that alone. The shows are probably pretty wild though, the moshing thing never really appealed to me. I take that back I did go to a punk show up in Mammoth once; I forget the band. They were the guys who sing the "Brohym" track. Black Flag? maybe, pennywise; I don't kwno. It was 90% people knockin each other back in forth. I was over it since I didn't like the music. Plus the getting punched for no reason by a 200 pound guy with a shaved head dancing thing. I remember this one massiver rave I went to in LA though; this gang fight borke out and these mexican homies started chasin after the other guys. I was talking to my friend and walking all of a sudden I got plowed by like a andre the giant vato. He seriously spun me he hit so hard. My leg and hip were numb and throbbing for hours. That kinda thing rings a bell when I think of moshing. Still though I'll check out the venue and tick price, mise well. I want to start going to see more live acts I used to do it like every weekend for real but ti was cheap since it was dj's and mc's.
I saw Matrix Revolutions twice in Imax since it's been out. The first time it was obviously better. That Imax shit is crazzzy. The digital screen makes for a good show. Not to metnion that it's HUGE. I dug the decor of the first club scene. Kinda like a tech-bondage futuresque look. I wont go in depth but it was good; coulda been better. I won't complain though, the Wachowskis done did good. Conceptuals in those movies are of the wall.
Word homeskillets. 23 in 7 days. Where has my life gone. Let me know if anyone finds a piece.
