Follow-up from the hike... My back feels better. So maybe it wasn't such a bad idea after all!! I did slightly sprain my ankle (it is very susceptible to sprains) several times, though. Not too bad.
When I got to the top of the mountain, there was a storm front moving through. I got a few really nice shots of the storm cloud edge as it moved across the valley. And there were some otherwise nice cloud formations. I sat on a high rock and let the wind and clouds blow past me for nearly an hour. I think I needed that. I needed that time away from many distractions to think about some issues that have been in my head lately. I don't know that I have particularly resolved any of them, but they were given their moment in the spotlight.
