I just read your abortion stance. Well thought out and acknowledges the grey. I'm a pro-choice activist with some personal reservations about being to abort a fetus inside me. I've never been pregnant so it's not been an issue, thankfully. Anyhow, I just wandered by here to say hello from the Feminist group which I just joined.

It's true that privilaged women have a greater access to child care and safe abortions, but i think it is unfair to say that it is sometimes used as contraception by irresponsible privaleged women. I see that you have a well thought out opinion on the subject, and you have many valid points, but i do think that you should be careful to steer clear of the irresponsible contraceptive bit. I feel it can be very offensive and insensitive even though it is prefaced with the qualifier "sometimes." Im sure it was not your intent to offend or insult; it's just my feelings on the subject.

Sorry bout that argon. That sentence describes the abortions that piss me off. They do exist. Even so, my apologies for the offense. I simply mean to say that when I fight for reproductive rights, it isn't these women for whom I am fighting. I fight for the downtrodden, the oppressed, those who fear dire consequences under the tyranny of a misogynist society should their pregnancy even be known.

We need a policy on self-actualization for this group. The way I see it is this is a shelter, a bastion of compassion and healing for the savagely cut. We may not get that back, but self-actualization is a part of a bigger foreskin picture. I propose broad latitude for irrational behavior. As long as it begins the healing process. How was Patagonia? A friend and I are going to be climbing Aconcagua on the Polish Glacier route this december then I was thinking of heading to Patagonia with my girlfriend after the climb. What are you going to be doing in Argentina during their winter? Climbing?

There are a few really awsome caves in the midwest, but as far as I know they are all commercialized and guided... sucky. There is an interesting one UNDER the minneapolis campus that I've been in, but it's pretty small.

I've been climbing in the black hills... the needles and such, it does kick a lot of ass out there. You ever climb at Devil's lake, WI? It's pretty awsome there too. Laters
