Ugh. I'm a bit hungover today. Last night i was out to watch sweden v england at the flex. I stayed there afterwards with a couple of mates and we had a great time chatting and all the rest of it. It was a nice night out. On the way home however we stumbled across a small group of american tourists - 1 girl and 2 guys.
For some reason or other I ended up with a shouting match with one of the guys about america, bush, austria, etc. It was tedious. He was under the impression that everybody in europe hates america, especially in vienna at the moment as GWB is visiting the city for the EU-US-Summit. It may be my point of view alone, and I can only speak for myself, but I'd like to clear one thing up. It's not a hatred against America. It's disagreement with Bush's policies. There are indeed a lot of people out there in the anti-bush-camp who don't know what they are talking about, they just follow the flock because it IS a bit en-vogue to hate on bush right now. I dislike those people just as much. But as a whole, people are voicing their disagreement at Bush, not the US. Full stop.
This guy, on the other hand, was a wanker. My point also is that I got into a shouting match because of that, not because he was american. All idiots are idiots, no matter where they're from. Best recognise, foool!
