with marnie and i both sick, not enough parties to attend, and the annual kissing contest on hiatus, new year's eve 2004 looked like it was going to be a bust. "hats! let's make hats for new year and get other people to wear them!!" said marnie. it made perfect sense at the time, but maybe that was the cough medication talking. marnie had a huge pile of felt, so I lugged my sewing machine to her place and a millinery/sweatshop was born. we made about 10 hats. i've got pics of some of mine _here_, but i might have to ask marnie before i put up her pics. which is your fave?
