I think perhaps there is a level of synicism, or irony he is trying to portray in the hopes that people such as yourself will endeavor to bring technology into a more enlightened age, socially and terrestrially.
Or he could just be an ass with shareholdings in Macdonalds and Nike getting some free press. wink
