I had the delightful good fortune of taking a little winter getaway with the girlies @natie and @fionamae ✨
We explored beaches, saw eagles, spooked deer, and Natie survived my driving 😆
I'm not exactly a photographer but I do love taking photos with my friends! 😍
Here are a few of my favourite shots from the weekend.
I love seeing genuine smiles and laughter, so I like to tease my pals while i'm shooting them to see them break out into fits of giggles, and capture the magic - and the happy euphoria afterwards.
I love playing with lighting when i'm filming my videos or self-shooting, because it really transforms the mood. And of course, editing is half of the fun too (though as I said - i'm not a photographer, most of my shots are out of focus and i'm just doing it for fun!)
Behind the scenes snapshots are often my favourite. As professional models we subconsciously train ourselves to hold our bodies a certain way or to make certain facial expressions. As gorgeous as the polished shots are, it can also be refreshing to see the natural beauty that comes with comfort
Taking more photos like these has given me the opportunity to practice my photo composition, and to learn more about my camera. I don't know what most of the buttons do, and when I upload the photos to my laptop if they're blurry or out of focus it's a great learning opportunity for me to figure out where I went wrong. I've also learned some great new lightroom tricks along the way!
