I'm down with that. This Calgary vs. Edmonton thing is way out of hand, When I lived in Victoria and these types of affairs came up between Vic and Van no one really cared that much, if you came good if not it was also cool. More than likely it's due to the high density of THC in the Lower Mainland. 
OK whew! After 2 and a half weeks working at Theatre Calgary getting there redesigned Christmas Carol show up and running I now have time to think and hole-up from the record breaking cold. -30.1c without windchill factor! -40c with windchill! Apparently in -F it's -22.18F and -40F respectively. Fuck around that's cold.

The absolute savage nature of this climate make me question why I moved here. I think my cat was frozen to my porch yesterday morning.
Today was pretty cool. I was running the fly tower at Theatre Calgary. It's a 70 foot tall structure that's used to fly in stage scenery. To my knowledge there's only 3 or 4 of these devices in the city and this on is one of the largest! It has 35 linesets held in near balance with counter weight. A moment's carelessness could spell disaster....
