The legend has it that a evil man named Jack was tried and hung for his heinous acts (No rhyme intended). Because he was so evil heaven was closed to him and even hell wouldn't let him in so he was forced to wander in purgatory. So he wandered in the darkness alone for years and years until one day the Devil approached him, and offered him a candle to light his way in exchange for his soul. So Jake dug out a gourd to carry his only light and is still wandering in purgatory now. Sooooo on the Hallowed Eve when the spirits of the dead are allowed to walk the earth watch out for Jake. You will know he is coming when you see his lantern in the night.

My Mother used to read me that legend when I was little, and I still love it today.
This year Im going to make my first jack-o-lantern/s I think Im going to do a series of vintage pin up girls.
