As the song says...Parents just don't understand. It's completely a generational thing. Your parents probably hope that you're just "in a phase" that you'll grow out of. I've been in one of those "phases" for the better part of two decades. Unfortunately, my parents still haven't come around and probably won't. I'm ok with that.
