I just started a new class and everything seems to be going well. The weather's crap in Iowa, but at least I didn't have class this afternoon. I decided that if Sarah wasn't going to start hanging out with our friend Jesse again then I was going to do it without her. Although I'm tired of her saying things like you must like Jesse if you're talking to him without me I don't care anymore. I'm tired of being her bitch and I'm really not that type of a person. I realized that having her as a friend is not worth being anyone's bitch.

I'm going on a book reading tirade, so if there's any book you think is really good go ahead and tell me in a comment. Odds are I'll at least see if the library here has it.(which is unlikely-I looked for 8 books today and they had none)

Everyone should make empowering decisions in their lives,

Good for you in regards to your friend and standing up for what you want. Too much of the time we all live by appeasing others not going after what we ourselves desire to do.

In terms of a classic read I recommend Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee. It's a non-fiction novel which explains fromt the point of view of the Indians how the west was lost. It's not a propaganda piece that merely serves to make the reader feel guilt or sympathy. The writting is amazing and it has remained a highly read book since being published in the 70's. It is an excellent read wether for it's worth as a piece of literature or as a history book.

For a fun book, I'm addicted to the Dexter novel series by Jeff Lindsay. You probably already know about that series and if not there are many wiki articles that explain it better than I.
