Be as hot as you can when you're young, because when you're old and not all you'll have are your memories. My mom wore miniskirts and tube tops when she was my age, but my conservative clothing and tats freaks her out. She doesn't get why I don't wear more riskay things, but I really just don't find that attractive. The tats and piercings that I find hot she thinks are terrible and has threatened to cut me off over them. How long is it going to take for my family to accept me for who I am?

As the song says...Parents just don't understand. It's completely a generational thing. Your parents probably hope that you're just "in a phase" that you'll grow out of. I've been in one of those "phases" for the better part of two decades. Unfortunately, my parents still haven't come around and probably won't. I'm ok with that. I've never needed my parents' acceptance or approval to be happy. They have their own life. Don't let them try to live through you. Rock on!!!!
