Had something weird happen. We're hiring for a job position at work and I started getting all these unknown friend requests on my facebook page. Didn't connect the two until I saw the names who had applied for the job. They were scoping me out...lol. I guess they were wanting to know things about their potential employeer to help their chances of getting a job....

Yea a lot of employers do it now. A friend of mine used to check facebook, myspace, and twitter to check up on potential house mates. Also if you can find someones screen name you can find out almost all the sites that they comment on because people usually use the same one. Social networking has taken uses for the internet to a whole new level

How many of you still believe in making New Years Resolutions and have you made any yet? I'm just curious if a lot of people are still making them. I usually do. I only seem to keep about half of them each year though. Maybe this year , my first New Years Resolution is to actually keep all my New Years Resolutions this year, lol. wink

I've never really attempted to do it, mostly because I don't put any effort into myself. This year, I think I have to though cause I think it will help keep me organized, but also, it will help me improve my focusing skills.

Everybody is on facebook and twitter complaining about Winter getting here, snow, etc.... I actually like the snow. I am not a huge fan of this time change though. I'm a nightowl and don't mind it getting darker earlier. I am fine with that and it's ok after a while I guess. But this first week or so of getting adjusted about takes me out. smile

I agree with you on the snow. I grew up in the Midwest and spent the majority of my life wanting to move to California. Wouldn't you know it I finally moved to Cali (lived here for over 8 years) and now I actually miss the snow and would almost prefer the cold over the sweaty heat in California.
