one candle and a burning soul
I emptied the box of matches into the candle...letting the parafin coat them and create a small bonfire on the kitchen floor..the wax growing and dripping over the sides...slipping onto the floor and making designs in warm streams..i touched the edges where the wax was gathering and let it follow my touch...drawing pictures..swirls and trails that turned into images..Drawing my life with a melted candle, still burning to light my way.
My fingertips are still tingling..

we used to pick our own strawberries. There were always soooo many mosquitoes. Were there mosquitoes?
i've always loved to play with fire and wax.. ever since i was a child. got me in lots of trouble.. but i never seemed to mind. add a little oil (essential, of course) and i'm completely blissful.
