And I swear, I can't ever hear it without it breaking my heart a little bit. I knew including The Parting Glass in my third book would break my heart every single time I hear it, but I'm a nostalgia addict, I guess. It brings me back to Galway and Oranmore, and the last time I was really happy. I'm fairly certain that was the best I'll ever be. I'll spend the rest of my life chasing the man I was living there. And probably failing, but it's good to have something to reach for, isn't it?
