Puttering away here in the middle of the night working on book 3 of the Indestructibles, which hit a pretty cool sales number today (I'm still not retiring, but copies are still moving). Book 3 is tackling one of my favorite comic book concepts, alternate timelines, and while I'm actually kind of intimidated about it (and also really worried about taking the heroes out of their comfort zone) I have to admit it's giving me a chance to write in a different way than I've allowed myself to in the first two books.
I also love that I'm taking the villain's inspiration from a photo shoot I modeled for over a year ago. The shoot's concept was about identity, but it also reminded me of some of the faceless heroes and villains from the old, pre-Superhero era comics like the Question or the Phantom Stranger:
