I saw Captain Baghands and the Age of Cardboard last night. It's a choose-your-own-adventure fantasy play. The narrator - Baghands - will occasionally present the audience with options, then a spotlight will hit someone, or a vote will be taken, or whatever. The set, props and costumes are all made out of cardboard and paper.
It's heaps of fun because of the audience participation and the fact that all the props and stuff are bound to break... it makes it really casual, and brief moments out of character or just fucking up make it even funnier.
I can't wait to see it again.
I don't know how it happened, but the Captain Baghands character was invented one drunken night by my housemate, who came out wearing his underwear on the outside, a cape, and bags on his hands, and calling everyone "citizen". In fact, the first couple of times I met him he was Captain Baghands, so that's the only way I knew him for a while.
Coming soon:
Captain Baghands and the Epoch of Tinfoil - a sci-fi
Captain Baghands and the Era of Bubblewrap - an underwater adventure
