New management appears to be causing a reduction in the ass-kissing at work. It seems that the worst of sycophants do not trust the new manager, and are worried that he may be biased against them because of the stories that are circulating throughout the agency about them. Certain coworkers of mine might find that their status as "favored daughters" has come to a most abrupt end. Such a change would be very refreshing. It is my hope that the new management won't allow such situations to develop into the future. I may not remain with the agency for a great length of time, but I have people that I respect there who will almost certainly make a career there.
