Just got back from the wizard world con. in Chicago (well Rosemont if your going to be like that). Here is the rundown:
-it was Packed the rumor was there where 24k peeps there-thats a lot of comic geeks!!
-there where quite a few indie books by women and minorities-which is great in the very white male dominated comic world.
-I'm always surprised at the # of people who dress up--amusing!
-my friend who runs the "porn" booth did brisk business as usual which probably means comic buyers=porn buyers...well actually males =porn buyers and since 90% of the attendees are male....you get the picture.
-there was some great original art there that I really,really,really wanted but I was good...fuck!
-lou ferrigno almost ran me over as he was running to the can
-I met kevin smith-nice guy
s.g. should have a table there as there were plenty of girls raking in the $$ by signing pictures and taking photos with big fat sweaty guys.
