I seriously need a 'Does Not Play Nice With Others' sign for my desk today. For the second day in a row a co-worker (well I guess technically my supervisor) is pissing me off. I work for a small software company and he's the primary programmer, what this means is he has spent so much time learning code that he doesn't know how to interact with people so good.
I started this job back in March because I was just coming out of a layoff where I was an assistant manager at a computer company. I was told if I came here and handled the support/training & installs they would be hiring another person soon and I would thus move into more of a management position than a hands on support position. Well it's December and still no new hire. The latest is that we'll be hiring someone in January and they'll take over most of the support & installs and I can move into training and managing. Well January can't come fast enough.
OK, and more back-story. Our program isn't something that you can just slap into an install-wizard and let people install themselves, there's a lot of configurations and settings that have to be customized, so an install from scratch is generally a week long project. Right now we're hot, even with the economy and we have a backlog of installs. Thus we also have a backlog on training sessions, thus support calls have pretty much fallen to the wayside as I try to get caught up on the jobs that actually bring money in. Which brings us to said co-worker. I guess he feels I'm not doing enough and what I am doing isn't the way he used to do it ... it's like, if you don't like how I do it do it yourself!!
It doesn't help that 90% of the support calls/emails we get are related to a known bug that has been in the program for over a year, and yet still hasn't been found and corrected. It's bad enough I'm the person who takes most of the customer strife about the recurring errors but when I then have the person responsible for the errors harping on me as well ... well that's too much to take.
It all came to a head Friday when, right after getting a very deflating personal phone call, he starts on me because when I schedule a 'Live date' (when we finish up a customer install & train them) I don't schedule each individual component to the hour, like he does. I held my tongue, since I really don't need to lose my job right now. Then like 10 mins later he continues on the same tangent, now insinuating that since I don't schedule everything to the fucking minute I won't be able to properly manage someone. He even had the balls to challenge me "so you really think when we hire someone in January that you'll be able to manage them". "It's what you hired me for".
OK enough ranting, I think I just needed to let that out ...
Shout outs (i.e. sets than need love):
- ToriBell has a brand new set.
- Fynx has 2 fantastic sets in MR right now, one a hawt multi with Nymph
- speaking of Nymph, she also has a new set
- Lee has 2 sets that I'm shocked haven't gotten more love, here & here
- Last and certainly not least, hopeful _Kraven_ has a stunning set ... this girl needs to go pink.

Sean Avery is a punk dude. His conduct is an insult on everything that is REAL, TRADITIONAL hockey. He was benevolently afforded the honor of being in a true league of gentlemen who hold tradition, sportsmanship, community service, common decency, and the like, in true regard. He should be banned from the NHL permanently. There are a host of less prestigious leagues in which he would fit perfectly. Perhaps he could learn to play basketball and be in the NBA where these abhorrent occurences are commonplace.
