More from the Colt Building....
Used a crowbar and a few other tools on the 4th of July for the Once In A Lifetime Experience of watching the Hartford fireworks from the roof of the Colt Building. If you know Hartford at all, you know that the Colt building is adjacent to Innerstate 91 and the CT river, and the fireworks are launched from a barge on the river. Wnen I say Once In A Lifetime, I mean it. There are no better seats in Hartford, unless you want to spend $750k for one of the hi-rise condos on the opposite side of the river.
With all the renovations and luxury apartments coming to the building, even the chance of being on the roof again will soon be gone. And so, another item on my "Big List of Things To Do Before I Leave the Building" is crossed off. A little plywood and glass stops me and my crowbar not.
Of course i took my camera so that I could share...
