We all know that art is not truth,
art is a lie that makes us realize truth.
Pablo Picasso
Im listening to Sarah Vaughn and realizing that the world has no class anymore. T-Shirts and jeans rule that land. Fat bellied, crass pigs fill the sidewalks of dirty lonely streets. Rudeness and insensitive attitudes have replace the manner driven eras of the past. Tom Green, Jackass, foul language lyrics and celebrity worship have dominated the airwaves to the point of choking out any qualified art. Kids are ruder then ever, fueled by a pop culture where its OK to destroy a persons spirit for entertainment. Am I just an angry old man trapped in the body of an idealistic 30 something? Or is there some reality to my cares?
Thoughts Right Now:
1.) What compels me to create, when others dont fully appreciate how I bleed and suffer for my creations?
2.) Almost 90% of evilness is accidental. True evilness is hard to muster, for even the hardest human. Hitler thought he was doing right by his beliefs he wouldnt have considered himself evil.
Your thoughts
Random facts:
1.) Ive been homeless before during my teen years. Sleeping in cars and schoolyards, before I went to Paris. I appreciate a warm bed more than most because of it.
2.) Im obsessed with Australian women; starting with Olivia Newton-John when I was younger and ending with Kylie Minogue, Naomi Watts and Nicole Kidman. Help me.
3.) In 1992, I was one of four artists flown to Yokohama, Japan to create a mural to coincide with a 180-artist exhibition representing art from San Diego and Tijuana. The Mayor honored us and press and they made three books about us. That was a big honor.
Listening to: Sarah Vaughn, Rat Pack tunes.
Eating: Frozen meal. Im too lazy to cook EVER cook for me please.
Feeling: Cold.
Seeing: My roommate get upset.
Planning: To work all weekend to catch up.
Hoping: The holidays are good still.
Wearing: Beat-up jeans and olive t-shirt.
Pondering: My brothers future. It doesnt look good.
