I thought I would not get to make much art this summer, and I was right in a very narrow sense. I was not able to continue with the body of work I had going at the end of the spring, but I have been able to push myself as a photographer, and get a better handle on photoshop. I must say that I treat the two separately. Photoshop is photoshop, and essentially is the darkroom. There are soooooooo many tricks and such a need for experience with the camera itself that photoshop cannot possibly fix. Besides, if I can start with a great image, then there is no need for photoshop other than calibrating for print, compressing for the web, cropping, or other minor tweaks.
Also, I'm about to go out and buy a harness. (for rock climbing, not THAT, you silly pervs)
It's been such a dry summer that I am determined to have more outside options besides being in my boat.
I hope everyone's summer was fantastic.
