Hooray for Durango. Finally in Colorado. I don't really mind the plains. they kind of remind me of the ocean. Lts of sky. Lots and lots of sky. but, for some reason I am just much happier with mountains around.
I've spent the past two days working a super early shift (3 - 8 am) in my friend's bakery in Ignacio, called Sundown Grill and Bakery. The focus of the place is mostly spelt and other grains that are gluten free or reduced. There is a wheat section but it's a completely separate room to avoid cross contamination. If anyone is ever in the Durango area you should check it out. They serve good breakfast and lunch, and of course many tasty treats for those who need to avoid wheat.
I miss my art supplies and studio space, but history has lead me to have faith that these types of trips fill the creative well and help turn me into a better artist. Besides, just living can be an artistic expression itself.

I'm sure your art supplies miss you too and will be happy when you are back with more creative energy. Have fun!
