Thanks for the advice, when I used to paint on canvas I made all my own stretchers and stuff like that.
It had just been a long time since I had been in a wood shop and I kinda forgot all the basics with this I guess.
The fact that this dude was "helping" me and didn't let me actually get in there and do it myself made it worse. I'm far better at accepting mistakes when they are my own.
I actually fixed it though. It all worked out. I was just too "into" it and pissed off to realize what needed to be done. I talked to the boy, he calmed me down and as soon as I got off the phone with him and looked at everything again I knew what I needed to do. They're not exactly what I wanted but, they'll do and it's far better than starting to do new work for a deadline that's three days away.
It's kinda my first show, the first show that actually means something anyways and it wouldn't be me without a crisis involved.
Thanks so much for the comment though. Usually when I post things about art, questions, rants...anything (usually in the painters group) my shit goes unanswered or I get stupid little answers when I want BIG ASS LONG INSTRUCTION answers like yours was.
I'm Faye by the way...nice to meet you.
