Oh, no doubt that HRC is completely clueless on any black experiences, much less "the black experience." It's even more sad that she can't seem to make an important speech on any topic; for instance, she could have turned any number of moments in the campaign in which she was being treated horribly for her gender into an opportunity to discuss the meaning of gender in America. But she wouldn't or couldn't. Maybe because she knew that it would kill her chances. My fear is that Obama did the right thing (no allusion intended, Spike) and he may lose points for it. It makes me admire him all the more, but worry for the future.
As for tact/tack--I meant tack. I have no problem with his tact. I didn't like his tack (i.e., his approach or take) on a few points of how to proceed from our deeply racist America to a better one. I also didn't like the whole, I know it in my genes line. But that's a pet peeve of mine in racial discourse.
