I've found zooming all the way out in Fallout Shelter eliminates all of the dweller action graphics and I can do other things without as much of a hit on responsiveness.  Also, in Witcher 3, are you relying on a balance of alchemy, magic, and combat or focusing on any of the three more than the others?  I went with the easy setting in the first two and primarily used combat.  I'm not terribly good at multitasking with my abilities.  I got some money for my birthday and am thinking I may go ahead and buy Witcher 3 at full price rather than wait for the next sale.  I did pre-order Fallout 4 for my birthday, too.  New Vegas was the last game I pre-ordered.

Now that I'm over 50 dwellers and have however many rooms I'm up to, the game is running terribly on my iPad 3.  It regularly misinterprets dragging as taps, scrolling through my list of dwellers can take 10 or 15 seconds (and it usually thinks a scroll drag is a tap and takes me out of the list completely), zooming in and out is slow and sometimes unresponsive, and moving the screen occasionally rubberbands from not moving at all to moving way off the screen.  If I let it get bigger, I'm likely to break it out of frustration.  Would be nice if they could add a pause feature, so it isn't trying to process all of the game graphics and mechanics in the background while looking through inventory and the dweller list.
