I have much of the financing figured out at this point, but I'm still looking for freelance administrative work to be safe. But, I think it's all going to be okay - it does make me nervous liquidating all my assets, but they tell me this sort of thing is normal when you buy your first house. Ah well.
Some of the financial stuff won't pan out for about 5-6 weeks as debts are settled and what not. But, better to wait 6 weeks and pay up to 30% of the debt.
We haven't seen the house in a few weeks. Since then, it's gotten a new roof, and supposedly new windows any day now, new/repaired drywall, etc. We'll be meeting at the house on Monday to see the progress, and I'll also be bringing my paint colors, the doorknobs that i've purchased and the cabinet knobs for the kitchen cabinets.
It's exciting. But nerve wracking.
