@missy and @rambo would like to know what advice we have for the recent graduates
I graduated from SIUC three weeks ago with a major in Journalism/editing and a minor in psychology, and I still can't believe it's real! I have been waiting for this moment for so long, and now that it's here, I'm terrified! How do I adult, again?!?!
I don't know if I can really give advice, but I can tell you what I had hoped to accomplish upon graduation....
I was hoping to graduate SIUC with extreme success and high honors like I did when I got my associates...and while I didn't quite accomplish that, I still did really well and managed to leave with a really good GPA.
I had also hoped to have found a magazine/website to work with to help edit and manage. My current dream magazine to land a job with would be Naked Magazine, being a writer, an editor, an amateur photographer and a model, I would be able to do everything I love for one organization. So, fingers crossed!
My next move is to just relax for a while and save up my money for my next big move, but in the meantime, what advice do you accomplished adults have for me? what should I do in my time off? What sort of magazines do you think I'd be interested in applying for and editing? Drop it all in the comments below!
