Well, from that perspective, I had it 50% easier than most kids. My folks got divorced over disfunctions and the like.

Never really had any problems from the maternal side--she's always been very grounded and solid. My pops, on the other hand, has always been sort of an alcoholic Peter Pan. I love him to death, but it's probably a good thing we see each other as much as we do.
