New poem. Not sure if this is any good.
Maybe because it's a bit too personal.
The last of the fading sunlight
To leaves us all Alone
in the dead of the living night
The blue turning deeper
The truth growing bleaker
Sirens in the distance
Violence in waiting
Screams heard through
Muffled ears pillow
Buried
Bedded down in fear
The walls take a beating
And so does she
Again and again
Knuckling down in bed
as the Knuckle strikes again
The last of the fading fight
To leave us all alone
In the light of the dead night
The day growing near
Vision growing clear
Waking to find
Dimpled walls
With fist forms
Doors hanging off hinges
Blood on a radiator
Down to my mother
Beaten and bruised
Bloody and sore
Our family was
A family no-more
The last of the fading sunlight
To leaves us all Alone
in the dead of the living night
The blue turning deeper
The truth growing bleaker
Maybe because it's a bit too personal.
The last of the fading sunlight
To leaves us all Alone
in the dead of the living night
The blue turning deeper
The truth growing bleaker
Sirens in the distance
Violence in waiting
Screams heard through
Muffled ears pillow
Buried
Bedded down in fear
The walls take a beating
And so does she
Again and again
Knuckling down in bed
as the Knuckle strikes again
The last of the fading fight
To leave us all alone
In the light of the dead night
The day growing near
Vision growing clear
Waking to find
Dimpled walls
With fist forms
Doors hanging off hinges
Blood on a radiator
Down to my mother
Beaten and bruised
Bloody and sore
Our family was
A family no-more
The last of the fading sunlight
To leaves us all Alone
in the dead of the living night
The blue turning deeper
The truth growing bleaker
