I just wanted to say quicky, HOLY FUCK SNOW!!!
It's Chicago. We know snow. We're not afraid of snow. We have mounds of salt and plow trucks at the ready. Most people are ready with their snow blowers or their army of children from the neighborhood with shovels in their hands. And even with the billions of warnings of a winter storm... we still failed miserably. The salt isn't quite effective because of the cold and the soft fluffyness of the snow today. And plows can't plow the same street every half hour. It took my five minute ride home 20 minutes. And I got to stand and shovel off my car for 15 minutes before that, snow seeping into my nice dress shoes.
All I have to say is thank god I had the snow brush outside the car when I started, and HAPPY SNOWMEN MAKING TOMORROW! We'll see if it's packing snow... and then I can make another snow sculpture!
