wahahahahahaha!!!
The XMas holiday is almost here and everyone around me is miserable!
Man, people have totally forgotten the spirit of Christmas.
Before, it used to be about spending time with family, having fun and just kicking back.
Now, it's all about buying useless shit at a store that obviously overprices everything. The same shit you buy for your friends/relatives is ultimately going to end up at a garage sale.
Who fucking needs another massager? Or an atomic powered clock? Or even a set of iPod capable salt shakers? lol
Want to give a gift? Give a gift from the heart. Put some thought into the gift.
Fuck. I remember the time I was given towels as a Christmas present. What a 'quick' gift. I would have felt better receiving nothing at all, or maybe even a pack of gift certificates to McDonald's, even though I don't eat there.
Seriously. Just a little bit of thought. It doesn't have to be worth a lot of money.
One of the best gifts I've ever received was from my cousin, who actually remembered something I said in the past and put some thought in it.
He gave me some action figures that I had been looking for, but couldn't find locally.
Were they expensive? Nope. Less than $8.00 each, but it was the effort and thought that counted. I still have never forgotten that gift, because I'm reminded of it daily, as those three figures are hanging on my wall to this day.
*sighs*
Those were the days.
