Don't swim in the lake when there's lightning... I disregaurded this warning this weekend out at the resevoir. I figured, the fish dont die when lightning strikes so why would I? Nothing dissasterous happened, but i decided to read up on it, and here's the deal. The electrical current is going to travel mostly on the surface of the water because there's less resistance or something like that. So fish will be insulated from most of the current, but people swimming are near the surface, and this is a problem. It was beautiful and tons of fun to swim in a rain/thunder storm; the rain was cold, the water was warm, the rain drops falling across the lake was awesome, but i dont recomend it, and i probably wont do it again...
