I am what you would call an avid reader; if I were to count all the books I've read in my life there would probably be enough to fill a small town library, and no, I'm not joking

. I've read all sorts of genres, some for school, some for fun, and others out of curiosity, both fiction and non fiction. When it comes to fiction I've always maintained the belief that it's the quality of writing and storytelling that determines true literary greatness, and that the genre is merely a vehicle to appeal to certain audiences. In other words, when you strip a book down to the fundamentals and themes of the story, regardless of whether it's science fiction, fantasy, historical fiction (think Bernard Cornwell

), "true lterature", whatever, they're all the same. They take us on a journey with the characters as they face the challenges that life throws at us, and we draw inspiration from the way the way they over come them. Last night I bought, and finished, a book that has intrigued me for the past couple of months, not only because of the cover, since it bears some resemblance to one of the hottest zombies on this site, namely
Patton
, but also because of the dessription on the back of the book. So without further ado, here's the book!
Teenage delinquent Angel Crawford lives with her redneck father in the swamps of southern Louisiana. She's a high school dropout, addicted to drugs and alcohol, and has a police record a mile long. But when she's made into a zombie after a car crash, her addictions disappear, except for her all-consuming need to stay "alive"...
If you like stories about characters that are one step above absolute bottom, about to go over the edge, but manage to overcome all obstacles to find themselves, true happiness and a better life, than this is the book for you; especially if you like zombies
Here's where you can get it: My Life as a White Trash Zombie, so buy it, read it, love it.
