The 24th anniversary of the passing of my late fiance from cancer is coming. I have been thinking about her and the times we had together. So I thought I would share the poem I wrote for her on the night, I proposed to her.
I wish to dance forever
in the radiant pools of your eyes.
I can see the heavens
as they shine in your eyes and
I am lost in a timeless world.
I wish to dance slowly
in the grace of your embrace as
time seeming forgets about us.
I wish to feel the tenderness
of your breath on my cheek
forgetting about the wind.
Where your heartbeat
is the rhythm of life,
giving music to our dance.
Lost softly in the comfort of
your embrace, the world
matters not for those longing moments.
Time, herself, watches and smiles.
Moving slower as if to shower
us with her blessing.
Giving us the grace
to be one in all things.
Gently swaying with
the unity of our souls.
I wish to bathe within the grace
of the moonlight as it covers us
in love’s hallowed bliss.

Well I hope you enjoy it. To those with special someones, enjoy the little moments that you share together as much as the big ones.
